Chapter 1. Role and Responsibility

Standard statement

At least annually, all agency personnel authorized to carry electronic control devices will receive training on procedures, operations, and manufacturers recommended requirements for the agency’s electronic control devices.

Each bullet must stand alone when establishing compliance, with proofs identified for every lettered requirement.

  1. a.training must be conducted by a certified weapons instructor
  2. b.training must be documented
  3. c.the agency must have procedures for remedial training for those employees who are unable to demonstrate knowledge of operations and techniques through testing (if any)
  4. d.the agency must have procedures for removal of the electronic control device from the employee who is unable to meet manufactures recommended requirements for use of the electronic control device.
