Agency Administrators
Too long didn't read (TLDR)
Acadis is Mississippi's official system of record for law enforcement certifications, training, and employment history. For your agency, it replaces paper certificates and annual roster submissions with a single live digital record — managed by a designated Point of Contact (POC) at your agency.
What is Acadis?
- The statewide platform used by every Mississippi law enforcement agency to track certifications, employment history, and training records.
- Maintained by DPS Standards & Training as the official system of record for every certified officer, telecommunicator, and jailer in the state.
- Every individual has a single person record identified by a unique Mississippi Certification ID (MCID) — which is now their official certification number.
What it means for your agency
- Certifications are digital. Paper certificates are legacy documents. Your officers' official certifications now live in Acadis — there is nothing to mail to Standards & Training when an officer is hired or separates.
- Your workforce is live. The annual paper roster submission is obsolete. Your agency's workforce in Acadis is the live record — officers are added through the application process and removed through a separation report.
- Training is tracked in one place. Completed training and continuing-education (CEU) compliance are recorded against each officer's record, so your agency can demonstrate compliance if it is audited.
- You designate a Point of Contact. Each agency must have at least one POC — the agency's Acadis administrator and primary link to Standards & Training.
What you need to do
- Make sure your agency is in Acadis. If your agency is not yet onboarded, follow the onboarding guidance here.
- Appoint a POC. As the Chief or Sheriff you will designate at least one POC when the original roster is submitted to Standards @ Training. Additional POC's can be added later by emailing acadis-support@dps.ms.gov with the name of the person to appoint. You can have more than one POC, but not everyone can be appointed.
- Have new hires request a portal account as soon as they accept an offer of employment if they aren't already certified in the state — approval typically takes 12 to 24 hours.
